Reader of the Issue is your chance to tell us about yourself and the horses and ponies you ride. You don’t have to have your own horse to enter. Send us a few pictures of yourself (remember to enclose a stamped return envelope if you want your snaps back) and if you are selected, we’ll publish them in Young Rider.
If we choose you, you’ll receive a complete riding outfit from JPC Equestrian.
To be considered for the YR Reader of the Issue, please tell us about you and the horses/ponies you ride in 800 words or less. Make sure to include the answers to the following questions in your profile:
Your name as you’d like it to appear in YR.
How long have you been a YR reader?
Your address, phone number and e-mail address.
The name, age and breeds of horses/ponies you ride.
Do you have any other animals in your life?
What kind of riding do you do?
Where do you ride?
Where do you keep your horse if you have one?
How often do you ride?
Do you take lessons?
What do you like best about horses and riding?
Has your favorite horse or pony ever got you through a tough time?
Have you achieved a goal with your horse?
Remember to include several quality photos of you and a horse. Don’t send us a digital image unless it is a high-resolution .jpg (300 dpi) or on photographic paper.
