This recipe contains only horse-safe ingredients, but if you have any concerns, be sure to speak with your veterinarian.

Materials

A tray of fruits and veggies.

â—† Horse-safe veggies & fruit
â—† Plastic cups or containers
â—† Water
â—† Rope

Instructions

Step 1: Cut up all your horse-friendly veggies and fruits into bite-sized pieces. We used apples, oranges, melons, strawberries, bananas, carrots, and sugar snap peas, but any horse-safe fruits and veggies will work!

Step 2: Tie each end of your rope around one of your veggies or fruits to help anchor it in the popsicle. Place each end of your rope into a cup.

Step 3: Fill cups about halfway full of cut-up fruit and veggie pieces.

Step 4: Fill cups a little below the rim with water or any horse-safe liquid.

Step 5: Place in freezer overnight or until completely frozen through.

Step 6: Once frozen, remove from freezer and run the outside of the cups under warm water to easily remove the popsicles.

Step 7: Take your popsicles to the barn and safely secure or tie around a sturdy fence post. Let your horse enjoy!

Tip: Popsicles can be made in any size or shape. Bundt pans also make great molds for a super-sized horsey popsicle!
